II) in various disciplines and Mine Surveyors. Unveiling the Openings (400 Words):

DVC is offering positions for Junior Engineers (JE Gr. II) across diverse engineering fields, including:

• Mechanical Engineering (16 Posts): Individuals with expertise in mechanical engineering principles and applications will be responsible for tasks like equipment maintenance, design support, and technical problem-solving.
• Electrical Engineering (20 Posts): Electrical engineers will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating electrical infrastructure, ensuring power transmission efficiency, and contributing to project execution.
• Control & Instrumentation Engineering (2 Posts): Candidates with a background in C&I engineering will be responsible for monitoring and controlling industrial processes, ensuring equipment functionality, and providing technical support.
• Civil Engineering (20 Posts): Civil engineers will contribute to various aspects of infrastructure development, including design, construction supervision, and project management.
• Communication Engineering (2 Posts): This role requires expertise in communication systems and technologies, focusing on maintenance, installation, and ensuring efficient communication infrastructure.

Mine Surveyor (4 Posts): Highly skilled Mine Surveyors are needed to conduct surveys, prepare detailed maps of mining areas, and ensure safe and efficient mining operations.

Eligibility: Meeting the Requirements (400 Words):

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications (as of July 4th, 2024):

• Junior Engineers (JE Gr. II): All positions require a three-year full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized institute approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or an equivalent statutory authority. Minimum marks required vary depending on the category (General/OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD).
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics & Telecommunications/Instrumentation Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electronics & Telecommunications/Telecommunication Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Comm. Engineering)
• Mine Surveyor: Two options are available for this position:
  • Matriculation (10th standard) with minimum marks and a Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety).
  • Diploma in Mining/Mining Surveying/Mining & Mine Surveying with minimum marks and a Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.

Other Important Notes:

• Candidates who took a lateral entry route to the second year of a three-year diploma program are eligible.
• Equivalent diploma certificates are not accepted.
• Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech., BE, M.Tech., or ME are not eligible, with or without a diploma.
• Qualifications obtained through distance learning modes will not be considered.

Age Limit (as of July 4th, 2024):

• All Junior Engineer positions (Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, and Communication) have a minimum age of 18 years and an upper age limit of 28 years.
• Mine Surveyors have a minimum age of 18 years and an upper age limit of 30 years.

Reservation and Relaxation in Age Limit:

• Age relaxation benefits are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwBD) as per Government of India directives.

Salary Details:

The selected candidates can expect a salary range of Rs.35,400/- to Rs.1,12,400/- in Pay Matrix Level 6 (at B4 level in DVC).

Selection Process (200 Words):

A two-stage selection process will be implemented to identify the most suitable candidates:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a computer-based test to assess their knowledge, skills, and aptitude relevant to the chosen engineering discipline or Mine Surveyor role.
2. Document Verification: Candidates who successfully clear the CBT will be invited for document verification to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria as per their application.
