• Mechanical Engineering: Applicants must have a minimum of 65% marks (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) in the diploma program.
• Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering: Similar to Mechanical Engineering, the minimum marks requirement is 65% (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% (SC/ST/PwBD).
• Electronics & Telecommunications/Instrumentation Engineering: The minimum marks criteria remain the same – 65% (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% (SC/ST/PwBD).
• Civil Engineering: Candidates must possess a minimum of 65% marks (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) in the diploma program.
• Electronics & Telecommunications/Telecommunication Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering: As with other engineering disciplines, the minimum marks requirement is 65% (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% (SC/ST/PwBD).
• Mine Surveyor: This position has two eligibility paths. Candidates can have either:
  • Matriculation with a minimum of 65% marks (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) and a Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS).
  • A Diploma in Mining/Mining Surveying/Mining & Mine Surveying with a minimum of 65% marks (General/OBC(NCL)/EWS) or 60% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized institution and a Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS.

Important Notes:

• Candidates who took lateral entry to the second year of a 3-year diploma program are eligible to apply.
• Equivalent diploma certificates are not accepted.
• Higher qualifications like B.Tech., BE, M.Tech., or ME (with or without a Diploma) are not allowed.
• Qualifications acquired through distance mode are not accepted.

Age Limit:

The minimum age for all positions is 18 years. The upper age limit varies depending on the category:

• General/OBC(NCL)/EWS: 28 years
• SC/ST: 33 years (with relaxation of 5 years)
• OBC: 31 years (with relaxation of 3 years)
• PwBD (Gen/EWS): 38 years (with relaxation of 10 years)
• PwBD (SC/ST): 45 years (with relaxation of 15 years)
• PwBD (OBC): 41 years (with relaxation of 13 years)
