EESL has two openings – one for a Senior Technical Expert and another for a Technical Expert, both specializing in Industrial Energy Efficiency.

Unveiling the Roles (600 Words):

• Senior Technical Expert – Industrial Energy Efficiency (1 Post):
  • Lead the Charge: You’ll spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive programs that promote energy-efficient practices within the industrial sector.
  • Become a Trusted Advisor: Provide technical guidance and support to industrial clients, helping them identify and integrate energy-saving solutions that optimize their operations.
  • Measure the Impact: Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives, ensuring they deliver the desired energy savings and environmental benefits.
  • Champion Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders across the industrial landscape to promote best practices in energy management.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is a must. An advanced degree (Master’s in Power, Energy, or Energy Management) is highly desirable.
• Experience Counts: You’ll bring a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience working in the industrial or commercial sector, specifically in the energy efficiency domain.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in industrial energy efficiency applications such as utility systems (compressed air, motors, pumps), waste heat recovery systems, industrial automation, or industrial heating and cooling systems is essential.
• Project Management Prowess: Prior experience in managing energy-related projects and leading teams of experts across various technical areas is crucial.
• Bonus Points: Experience working with government agencies, PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings), and multi/bi-lateral agency funded projects will be viewed favorably. Additionally, proficiency in business model development, financial modeling, and project financing will be a distinct advantage.
• Technical Expert – Industrial Energy Efficiency (1 Post):
  • Support the Mission: You’ll play a vital role in supporting EESL’s mission by working on projects and initiatives related to industrial energy efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise in Action: Apply your knowledge of industrial utility applications and industrial automation to help improve energy efficiency within industries.
  • Experience Matters: Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in the industrial and commercial energy efficiency sector.

Requirements:

• Educational Foundation: A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is mandatory. A postgraduate degree (Master’s in Power, Energy, or Energy Management) is preferable.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using MS Office Suite applications is essential. Knowledge of SAP/ERP/E-office systems is an added advantage.
• Energy Efficiency Advocate: Possess a BEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) qualification or demonstrate a strong understanding of energy efficiency principles.

Bonus Points: Experience working with PSUs, government agencies, multi/bi-lateral agency funded programs, or consultancy/industrial technologies projects will be considered highly valuable. Knowledge of procurement, tendering, and contracting processes, along with prior experience in the industrial sector (large industries and MSMEs) will further strengthen your application.
