The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), a premier research institution in India, is seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals to fill four Engineer Trainee positions. • Engineer Trainee (Computer): (2 Posts)
• Engineer Trainee (Electronics): (1 Post)
• Engineer Trainee (Electrical): (1 Post)
• Engineer Trainee (Civil): (1 Post)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification:
  • A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in the relevant field from a recognized university/institution is mandatory.
    • Computer Science for Engineer Trainee (Computer)
    • Electronics for Engineer Trainee (Electronics)
    • Electrical for Engineer Trainee (Electrical)
    • Civil for Engineer Trainee (Civil)
• Desirable Experience: While not mandatory, experience in the construction field is considered a plus for the Engineer Trainee (Civil) position.
• Age Limit: Applicants must be 26 years old or younger as of the last date to apply.
• Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is available for candidates from specific categories:
  • Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD):
    • General/Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10 years
    • SC/ST: 15 years
    • OBC: 13 years

Salary and Benefits:

• Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 30,000 with the potential for annual increments of Rs. 2,500 based on satisfactory performance.

Selection Process:

The IIA will conduct a walk-in interview process to assess candidates’ suitability for the positions.
