New Forest Department Recruitment 2024 The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), an esteemed autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, is dedicated to advancing wildlife research, education, and training. As part of its ongoing initiatives, WII is set to appoint 30 project personnel, exclusively open to Indian nationals (refer to Annexure – 1), on a contractual basis. Initially, the engagement will span one year from the commencement date, with the possibility of extension based on the candidate’s performance and project requirements. It is important to note that these positions are strictly temporary/contractual and will be terminated upon the project’s conclusion.

Prospective candidates are required to submit their duly filled application forms (refer to Annexure – 2) in a sealed envelope clearly marked “WII-NMCG PROJECT” along with the “NAME OF POST APPLIED FOR.” Additionally, candidates must include self-attested copies of their educational qualifications, experience certificates, records of extracurricular activities, and proof of date of birth (high school certificate or mark sheet). Guidelines for Applying to WII-NMCG Project Positions

Before proceeding to fill out the application form for the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) NMCG Project, it is imperative for the applicant(s) to thoroughly review the terms and conditions stated herein. The following points delineate the procedure and requirements for submitting applications:

1. Application Limitation: Each candidate may apply for a maximum of two advertised positions pertinent to their academic qualifications and in accordance with the essential and desirable criteria specified for the respective position(s).
2. Application Format and Submission: Incomplete, late applications, or those not adhering to the prescribed format as outlined in Annexure-2 are subject to rejection. The duly filled application form (Annexure-2) along with self-attested copies of educational credentials, experience certificates, date of birth proof, and any additional relevant documents should be sent in a sealed envelope clearly marked with “WII-NMCG PROJECT” and the “NAME OF POST APPLIED FOR” to the designated address. The deadline for submission is 20th February 2024, by 05:30 P.M.
3. Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable for General Category applicants and must be submitted through online mode. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS (Non-General Category) and Physically Challenged (PC) categories are exempted from the application fee but are required to pay Rs.100/- as ‘Application Processing’ Fee, payable through the designated bank account provided.
4. Multiple Applications: Candidates applying for more than one position must submit separate application forms and fees for each position. Additionally, they must attach a print copy of the receipt/statement of the application/processing fee(s) deposited in the specified account as Annexure–3 to avoid rejection of the application.
5. Prescribed Format: Applications not submitted in the prescribed format as provided in Annexure – 2 will not be considered. It is crucial to ensure compliance with the specified format.
6. Employment Status Verification: Candidates currently employed with Government Organizations/NGOs/Projects must include a copy of the “No Objection Certificate” from their respective employer/Project Investigator (PI) as applicable.
7. Shortlisting Criteria: Shortlisting of applicants for online interviews will be based on various factors including essential qualifications, age limit, relevant specialized knowledge, research experience, Statement of Purpose (SOP), and extracurricular activities as per WII rules.
8. References: Candidates are required to provide complete details of referees including names, addresses, email, and contact information as specified in the application form.
9. Document Checklist: A comprehensive checklist of self-attested documents must be duly filled and attached with the application form, encompassing passport-size photograph, educational testimonials, research publications, extracurricular activities, etc.
10. Selection Process: Mere fulfillment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee selection for an interview. The Institute holds the authority in all matters pertaining to eligibility, acceptance, or rejection of applications, and the mode of selection.
11. Selection Committee: A duly constituted Selection Committee will oversee the recruitment process.
12. Verification of Original Documents: Successful candidates must produce all original documents/certificates for verification at the time of joining.
13. Integrity Declaration: Any attempt to willfully conceal, misrepresent, or canvass information will result in disqualification from the selection process, and appropriate action will be taken.
14. Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted as per Government of India guidelines, with specific provisions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.
15. Temporary Nature of Positions: The advertised positions are temporary/contractual for the specified project duration and will cease upon project completion.
16. Institute’s Authority: The Director of WII reserves the right to reject any application/candidature due to incomplete information or any other valid reason(s).
17. Joining Requirements: Successful candidates are expected to join the project immediately upon announcement of results.
