The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) is seeking talented individuals to join their team! • Project Associate-II (6 Positions)
• Project Associate-I (4 Positions)
• Senior Project Associate (1 Position)
• Project Assistant (3 Positions)

Eligibility Criteria:

Each position has specific educational requirements. Here’s a breakdown:

• Project Associate-II: Master’s degree in relevant fields like Thermal Science, Applied Physics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. Two years of R&D experience in research institutions or academia is often preferred.
• Project Associate-I: Master’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Biotechnology, or Civil Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or Civil Engineering may also suffice.
• Senior Project Associate: Ph.D. in Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in these fields with at least four years of R&D experience is considered.
• Project Assistant: A three-year diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

While not mandatory, some positions value additional qualifications, such as:

• NET/GATE qualification (especially for Project Associates)
• Experience in Metals and Materials processing (particularly relevant for Senior Project Associate and some Project Associate-II positions)
• Experience in Materials processing (Project Associate-II and Assistant positions)
• Experience in Metals processing, coating, and characterization (Project Associate-II position)

Age Limit (as of July 5th, 2024):

• Project Associate-II & I: 35 years
• Senior Project Associate: 40 years
• Project Assistant: 50 years

Age Relaxation:

The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates from reserved categories and those with disabilities (PwBD) as per government regulations.

Salary Details:

The salary varies depending on the position and possession of a valid CSIR-UGC NET score or GATE score. Here’s a general range:

• Project Associate-II: Rs. 35,000/- + 18% HRA (with NET/GATE) or Rs. 28,000/- + 18% HRA (without)
• Project Associate-I: Rs. 31,000/- + 18% HRA (with NET/GATE) or Rs. 25,000/- + 18% HRA (without)
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000/- + 18% HRA
• Project Assistant: Rs. 20,000/- + 18% HRA

Selection Process:
