Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Essential Qualifications:

1. Candidates applying for the Research Associate position must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree, achieving a first division or securing 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA.
2. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of research experience, as demonstrated through fellowship, associateship, training, or other engagements as per the guidelines specified in the official notification.
3. Furthermore, candidates are required to have published at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS rated (≥4) Journal, as outlined in the directives provided by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

3. Research experience in plant molecular biology, gene cloning, plant transformation, tissue culture, and wet lab work is highly desirable.

Age Limit:

• The maximum age limit for male candidates applying for the Research Associate position is 40 years, while female candidates can apply up to the age of 45 years.
• Relaxation in the age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to OBC Non-Creamy layer, SC, ST, and PH categories as per the Government of India rules.

Salary Details:

• For Master’s degree holders, the salary offered is Rs. 49,000/- per month along with a 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA).
• For PhD degree holders, the salary offered is Rs. 54,000/- per month along with a 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Selection Process:

• The selection of candidates will be based on Walk-In-Interviews conducted by the National Institute of Plant Biotechnology.
