Are You Eligible?

To embark on this transformative journey, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Citizenship: Be an Indian citizen, or a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
• Age: Be between 21 and 32 years of age on the commencement date of the program (born between August 2nd, 1992, and October 1st, 2003).
• Education: Possess a Bachelor’s degree completed before the program begins (by October 1st, 2024).

Important Note for OCI Applicants:

If you’re an OCI candidate and haven’t obtained your OCI card yet, initiating the registration process well in advance is crucial. Obtaining an OCI card can take 1-3 months, so visit the Ministry of Home Affairs website (https://ociservices.gov.in/) to start your application as soon as possible.

Becoming a Fellow: A Two-Stage Process

The application process for the 2024-25 batch is currently underway. Here’s a breakdown of the two stages involved:

Stage 1: Registration and Online Assessment

1. Registration: Visit https://youthforindia.org/ to begin your application journey.
2. Online Assessment: Share your unique story, motivations for joining the Fellowship, and overall worldview through a detailed essay-based assessment.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates from Stage 1 will be invited for a personal interview. This stage allows the esteemed selection panel to delve deeper and assess your suitability for the program beyond academic qualifications and work experience. They will evaluate your personal characteristics, leadership potential, and commitment to rural development.

Final Selection and Onboarding

Successful candidates from Stage 2 will be notified via email and/or SMS on a rolling basis throughout the application period. Upon confirmation, you’ll receive an official offer letter outlining the program details, fellowship support offered, and terms & conditions.

Once you accept the offer, the onboarding process begins. You’ll be connected with other selected candidates through an online forum, fostering a sense of community and providing an opportunity to clarify any questions you may have about the Fellowship.

Comprehensive Fellowship Support

The SBI Youth for India Fellowship provides a robust support system to ensure you have a fulfilling and impactful experience:

  • Monthly living allowance of INR 15,000.
  • Monthly transport allowance of INR 1,000.
