Calling Climate Champions (4 Posts):

SBI recognizes the growing importance of climate change and its impact on the financial sector. If you’re a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability with a keen understanding of climate-related risks, this role is for you! As a Climate Risk Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

• In-Depth Analysis: Conducting thorough analyses of climate-related risks that could potentially affect SBI’s operations and financial stability.
• Mitigation Strategies: Developing and implementing effective strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the bank’s long-term resilience in the face of climate change.
• Staying Informed: Staying abreast of the latest developments in climate science and financial regulations related to climate risk.
• Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating climate risks to various stakeholders within SBI and collaborating across departments to ensure a coordinated approach.

Eligibility for Climate Champions:

To be considered for this role, you’ll need a strong academic foundation coupled with relevant experience:

• Educational Qualification: A postgraduate degree (Master’s) in a relevant discipline is mandatory. SBI typically looks for qualifications like environmental management, environmental sciences, climate change, climate finance, disaster management, natural resource management, statistics, MBA (Finance), or MBA (Banking & Finance) from a recognized university with a first-class or equivalent grade and a consistently strong academic record.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of post-qualification work experience is required, ideally in the Risk Management Department of banks, financial institutions, rating agencies, brokerage firms, or risk advisory within consulting firms. Notably, at least two years of experience in dealing with climate change-related risks and assessment models is highly desirable.
• Skills and Qualities: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are paramount for clear and concise communication of complex information. Additionally, a problem-solving attitude, analytical thinking, and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint, are essential for success.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, possessing a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from GARP, Professional Risk Managers’ certification from PRMIA, or a Sustainability and Climate Risk certification from GARP will give your application a competitive edge.

Market Risk Specialists Wanted (6 Posts):

Eligibility for Market Risk Specialists:

A strong academic background coupled with relevant experience is essential for this role:

• Educational Qualification: A professional qualification like Chartered Accountant (CA), ICWA (Cost and Works Accountant), MBA (Finance/Banking), or equivalent, PGDM (Finance) or equivalent from institutions recognized by government bodies like AICTE or UGC is mandatory.
• Experience: A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience working on general accounting policies, investments, derivatives, valuation, etc., in commercial banks, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), or large corporates is required.
• Skills and Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical for effective risk assessment. Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong communication skills are necessary for clear reporting and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifications like a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from GARP, Professional Risk Managers’ certification from PRMIA, or a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation will be viewed favorably.

Age Limit:
