Thiruvalluvar University has announced vacancies in various departments and invites applications from eligible candidates. The university is seeking qualified individuals for the following departments:

1. Biotechnology
2. Zoology
3. Computer Science
4. Sociology
5. Environmental Science
6. Microbiology

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree (MA, M.Sc./M.Com./ME/M.Tech) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale) in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Additionally, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as SLET/SET. Alternatively, candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree are exempted from the NET/SET requirement.

A relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. This relaxation is applicable at the Master’s level for the purpose of eligibility and assessing a good academic record.

Selection Process:

The selection process will involve shortlisting of candidates based on their qualifications followed by an interview.
