Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates applying for the position of Chief Risk Officer must meet the following educational qualifications:

• Mandatory Educational Qualification:

• Holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter awarded by CFA Institute.
• Designated as Chartered Accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or equivalent abroad.
• Designated as Cost and Management Accountant by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or equivalent abroad.

• Desirable Qualifications:

• Graduate Degree with Professional Certification in Financial Risk Management from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
• Professional Risk Management Certification from the PRMIA Institute.
• Two years of experience as a Risk Management Head in a Bank.

Roles & Responsibilities of Chief Risk Officer (CRO):

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will have the following roles and responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to MD & CEO.
• Focusing on creating, designing, and implementing a risk management function that supports the strategic goals of the Bank.
• Setting long-term capital vision in tune with the regulatory capital requirements.
• Designing policies and implementing necessary procedures to enforce policies.
• Coordinating with SOC team and CISO.

Experience:

Candidates must have the following experience to be eligible for the Chief Risk Officer position:

• Mandatory Experience:

• Five years of experience in Credit and Risk Management at the level of Assistant General Manager or above in one or more PSBs or having similar roles in one or more regulated lending entities (in the opinion of the bank selection committee).
• Minimum two years of experience in the Risk Management Department in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

• Desirable Experience:

• Good understanding of market risk, liquidity management, and operational risk.
• Exposure to analytics is an added desirable experience.

Age Limit:

Candidates applying for the Chief Risk Officer position must be:

• Minimum 45 years old.
• Not more than 55 years old as of March 31, 2024.

Salary Details:

The Chief Risk Officer will receive remuneration as applicable to Scale VII officers under the new pay structure.
