For candidates specializing in disciplines other than Engineering, a doctoral degree in Agriculture subject, including relevant basic science, is required. Alternatively, candidates with a doctoral degree in relevant Agriculture engineering subject and 6 years of experience or a Master’s degree in the same field with 10 years of experience may also apply. Desirable qualifications include specialization in implementing extension education programs.
2. Stenographer (Grade-III) – Post
Candidates applying for the Stenographer (Grade-III) position should have passed the 12th class or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Professional efficiency in shorthand is desirable. Candidates will be required to undergo a dictation test in English or Tamil at 80 words per minute for 10 minutes. Those opting for the English test must transcribe the matter within 50 minutes on a computer, while those opting for the Tamil test must do so within 65 minutes.

- Senior Scientist and Head: Doctoral degree in Agriculture subject including relevant basic sciences with 8 years’ experience in the relevant subject.
- Stenographer (Grade-III): 12th class pass or equivalent from recognized Board/University.
Age Limit:
- Senior Scientist and Head: 47 years
- Stenographer (Grade-III): 27 years
Salary Details:
- Senior Scientist and Head: Level 13 A (with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 131400) as per 7th CPC
- Stenographer (Grade-III): Pay Level 4
