Eligibility Criteria for Various Posts

Educational Qualification:

1. Pharmacist

• Essential: Candidates must have completed 10+2 and possess a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy. Additionally, registration with the State Pharmacy Council is mandatory to ensure eligibility.

2. Electrician (Highly Skilled-II)

• Essential: Applicants must have passed 10+2 and hold a certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the respective trade or grade. Members of the armed forces or ex-servicemen with relevant trade experience and at least Grade I are also eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: A certificate issued by the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, recognized by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) in Vocational Trades, is preferable.

3. Electrician (Power) (Highly Skilled-II)

• Essential: A 10+2 qualification along with a certificate from a recognized ITI in the appropriate trade or grade is required. Alternatively, armed forces members or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I qualifications can apply.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate issued by DGE&T under NCVET is advantageous.

4. Telecom Mechanic (Highly Skilled-II)

• Essential: Candidates must have passed 10+2 and possess a certificate from a recognized ITI in the appropriate trade or grade. Alternatively, armed forces members or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is recommended.

5. Engineering Equipment Mechanic (Highly Skilled Grade-II)

• Essential: Completion of 10+2 along with a certificate from a recognized ITI in the motor mechanic trade is mandatory. Alternatively, candidates holding a B.Sc. degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or armed forces/ex-servicemen with relevant trade experience and at least Grade I may apply.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is a plus.

6. Vehicle Mechanic (AFV) (Highly Skilled-II)

• Essential: Candidates should have completed 10+2 and possess a certificate in the fitter trade from a recognized ITI. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are also eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is preferable.

7. Armament Mechanic (Highly Skilled-II)

• Essential: A 10+2 qualification and a certificate in the fitter trade from a recognized ITI are required. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with relevant experience and at least Grade I are also eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is advantageous.

8. Draughtsman Grade-II

• Essential:
  • Matriculation or equivalent.
  • A three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institute.
  • Alternatively, a two-year diploma in mechanical draftsmanship from an ITI or equivalent institution, coupled with three years of experience, is acceptable.

9. Stenographer Grade-II

• Essential:
  • Pass in 12th class.
  • Skill Test Norms:
    • Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 words per minute.
    • Transcription: 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi) on a computer.

10. Machinist (Skilled)

• Essential: Certification in precision grinding, machining, milling, or turner trades from a recognized ITI is required. Alternatively, armed forces or ex-servicemen from the relevant trade with at least Grade I are eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is preferred.

11. Fitter (Skilled)

• Essential: ITI certification in the relevant trade or grade is mandatory. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are also eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is recommended.

12. Tin and Copper Smith (Skilled)

• Essential: ITI certification in the relevant trade or grade is necessary. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are eligible as well.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is preferable.

13. Upholster (Skilled)

• Essential: ITI certification in the respective trade or grade is required. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are also eligible.

14. Moulder (Skilled)

• Essential: Certification in the relevant trade or grade from a recognized ITI is mandatory. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are also eligible.

15. Welder (Skilled)

• Essential: Certification in the relevant trade or grade from a recognized ITI is necessary. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are eligible as well.

16. Vehicle Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) (Skilled)

• Essential: Certification in the relevant trade or grade from a recognized ITI is mandatory. Armed forces or ex-servicemen with at least Grade I are also eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Certificate from DGE&T under NCVET is advantageous.

17. Storekeeper

• Essential: Completion of 12th class from a recognized board or university is required.

18. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

• Essential:
  • A 12th class pass from a recognized board or university.
  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer.

19. Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade)

• Essential:
  • Matriculation qualification is required.
  • Must possess a valid civilian driver’s license and have two years of experience operating heavy vehicles.

20. Fire Engine Driver

• Essential:
  • Matriculation or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license and at least three years of experience operating heavy machinery.
• Desirable:
  • Knowledge of fire appliance operations.
  • Experience in a civil or defense fire brigade.
  • Completion of accredited firefighting courses.

21. Fireman

• Essential:
  • Matriculation or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with firefighting equipment, drills, and first aid fire-fighting techniques.

22. Cook

• Essential:
  • Matriculation or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in trade and knowledge of Indian cooking.

23. Tradesman Mate (Group C)

• Essential: Matriculation (10th pass).

24. Barber

• Essential: Matriculation (10th pass) with proficiency in barber trade.
• Desirable: One year of experience in the trade.

25. Washerman

• Essential:
  • Matriculation (10th pass).
  • Ability to properly wash military or civilian clothing.

26. Multitasking Staff (MTS)

• Essential: Matriculation (10th pass).
• Desirable: Knowledgeable about the relevant trades with one year of experience.

Age Limit (As on 17.01.2025):

• Most positions: 18 to 25 years.
• Fire Engine Driver: 18 to 30 years.
• Age relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years.
  • OBC: 3 years.
  • PwBD: 10 years (general), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST).
  • Ex-servicemen: As per government policy.

Salary Details:

The salary for various posts ranges from Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay varying between Rs. 1800 and Rs. 2800, depending on the post.

Selection Process:

The selection process includes the following stages:
