The Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) has announced vacancies for the positions of Aircraft Technician (B1) and Aircraft Technician (B2). There are a total of 25 posts for Aircraft Technician (B1) and 15 posts for Aircraft Technician (B2). Eligibility Criteria:

1. Aircraft Technician (B1):

Educational Qualification:

• For candidates other than Ex-servicemen: Applicants must hold an AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (02 or 03 years) in the Mechanical stream from DGCA-approved Training Institutions with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering (3 years) in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or its equivalent recognized by the Central/State Government with the specified percentage.
• For Ex-servicemen: Successful completion of Group I and/or II or a 4-year course/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Airframe/Engine trades conducted by the Indian Air Force/Navy/Army, accepted as a qualification by DGCA as per CAR 66 criteria.

Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of one year of aviation experience or successful completion of a national apprenticeship in the aviation industry (minimum one year duration). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in preflight checks, snag rectification, and component replacements and repairs in engine and airframe systems.

2. Aircraft Technician (B2):

Educational Qualification:

• For candidates other than Ex-servicemen: Applicants must possess an AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (02 or 03 years) in the Avionics stream from DGCA-approved Training Institutions with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering (3 years) in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Radio/Instrumentation Engineering or its equivalent recognized by the Central/State Government with the specified percentage.
• For Ex-servicemen: Same as Aircraft Technician (B1).

Experience: Similar to Aircraft Technician (B1), candidates should have a minimum of one year of aviation experience or successful completion of a national apprenticeship in the aviation industry (minimum one year duration). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in snag rectification, component repairs, and replacement in Avionics systems.

Age Limit: (As of 01.04.2024)

• For both Aircraft Technician (B1) and Aircraft Technician (B2), the maximum age limit is 35 years. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. Ex-servicemen will receive age relaxation as per Government directives.

Salary Details:

• Both Aircraft Technician (B1) and Aircraft Technician (B2) positions offer a salary of Rs. 27,940/- per month.

Selection Process:

The selection process includes:

1. Preliminary Screening: Candidates will undergo a preliminary screening process to assess their eligibility and suitability for the position.
2. Technical Assessment and Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be further evaluated through technical assessments and interviews to determine their competency and expertise in aircraft maintenance and engineering.

• For SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates, the application fee is Rs. 500/-. For GEN, EWS, and OBC candidates, the fee is Rs. 1000/-.
• Payment Mode: The application fee should be paid through an A/C Payee Demand Draft drawn in favor of “AI Engineering Services Limited” payable at Hyderabad.
