About System Admin Jobs:

This role is responsible for identifying and resolving complex technical issues reported by users and handling high-priority system requests. The position ensures system and user uptime through effective remote problem-solving and collaboration with external vendors to deliver solutions. It requires experience with remote access systems and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously. The role involves ensuring support tickets are resolved according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer policies. Responsibilities include configuring hardware and software to meet customer needs, providing support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices, as well as evaluating and recommending upgrade schedules for new product versions. Additionally, the role includes setting up and troubleshooting domains, user accounts, and software accounts, as well as formatting, installing, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop computers for end users.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting desktops and laptops, with a basic understanding of networks.
  • Excellent customer support skills.
  • Ability to prioritize IT tickets and respond effectively to end-user needs.
  • Capable of quick decision-making to ensure timely ticket resolution within SLA.
  • Multi-tasking ability to manage multiple tickets and user requests simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools, such as ServiceNow.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, and other authorized desktop applications.
  • Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting printers, computer hardware, and other authorized peripheral equipment.
  • Ability to perform general preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of FAI’s existing IT infrastructure, including basic server functions.
  • Ability to diagnose and address server issues, including triggering updates as needed.
  • Experience in supporting new project development and implementing new hardware installations.
  • Capable of performing configuration and maintenance activities for user profiles and policies.
  • Ensures compliance with software license agreements.
