Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Assistant Registrar:

1. Essential Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree Or
2. Degree

1. Experience:

1. With Seven years of experience in Administration Or
2. With twelve years of experience in Administration

2. Assistant Librarian:

2. Essential Qualifications: B. Lib.
3. Experience: Seven years of experience and capability of handling a computerized library

3. Assistant:

3. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree
4. Experience: Five years of experience, with good knowledge of English, Computer applications, and office administration.

4. Assistant (F&A):

4. Essential Qualifications: Commerce Graduate
5. Experience: Five years of Experience and familiarity with computer applications in accounting.

5. PA to Registrar:

5. Essential Qualifications: Graduate
6. Experience: 5 years of experience in Secretarial work and/or stenography

6. Technical Assistant-B:

6. Essential Qualifications:

6. B.Sc. Or
7. HS with a diploma in Engineering/Draftsmanship Or
8. B.Sc.

6. Experience:

6. With Seven years of experience in the Laboratory Or
7. With Four years of experience Or
8. With Four years of editorial experience

7. Upper Division Clerk:

7. Essential Qualifications: Graduate
8. Experience: Three years of experience with good knowledge of English and Computer applications for office work.

8. MTS (Technical):

8. Essential Qualifications: Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized board + 2 years ITI Trade Certificate.

Age Limit: (As on 14.01.2024)

1. Assistant Registrar – Not exceeding 35 years
2. Assistant Librarian – Not exceeding 35 years
3. Assistant – Not exceeding 30 years
4. Assistant (F&A) – Not exceeding 30 years
5. PA to Registrar – Not exceeding 30 years
6. Technical Assistant-B – Not exceeding 30 years
7. Upper Division Clerk – Between 18 and 25 years
8. MTS (Technical) – Between 18 to 25 years

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the IACS official Notification 2024 for more details.

Salary Details:

1. Assistant Registrar – Level 10 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.56,100/-
2. Assistant Librarian – Level 10 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.56,100/-
3. Assistant – Level 7 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.44,900/-
4. Assistant (F&A) – Level 7 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.44,900/-
5. PA to Registrar – Level 7 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.44,900/-
6. Technical Assistant-B – Level 7 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.44,900/-
7. Upper Division Clerk – Level 5 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.29,200/-
8. MTS (Technical) – Level 1 in 7CPC with an initial Basic Pay of Rs.18,000/-.

Selection Process:

IACS may follow the subsequent process to select candidates:

1. Screening Test, Written Exam, Skill/Trade Test,
2. Personal Interview

Application Fee:

• ST and Female Candidates: Rs.500/-
• All other categories: Rs.1000/-

Application fees must be sent together with the application by a demand draft drawn on the State Bank of India, in favor of “INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE CULTIVATION OF SCIENCE” payable at Kolkata. The Demand draft number should be mentioned in the application form.

How to Apply:

Candidates should send their duly filled applications along with requisite documents in support of their candidature in a sealed envelope superscripted clearly as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF (Name of the post along with the advertisement number)” to The Registrar, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, 2A & B, Raja S. C. Mullick Road, Kolkata – 700032 by post. The Institute shall not be responsible for postal delays, if any. Candidates applying for more than one post need to send a separate envelope containing the application along with documents mentioned above.
