Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) welcomes applications for various positions as detailed below:

• Junior Assistant–cum-Typist (JAT)
• Stenographer: 12th Pass Only

Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualifications:

1. Junior Assistant cum Typist (JAT):

• Essential Qualifications:
  • 10+2 or equivalent
  • Typing test with a speed of 40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer
• Desirable:
  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

2. Stenographer:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • 10+2 or equivalent
  • Typing test with a speed of 40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer
  • Shorthand Test @ 80 w.p.m.
• Desirable:
  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • Knowledge of Computers

Age Limit: (As on 21.12.2023) Indira Gandhi National Open University

• Junior Assistant cum Typist (JAT): 18-30 years
• Stenographer: 18-30 years
• Age relaxation as per government norms.
• The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details Indira Gandhi National Open University :

• Junior Assistant–cum-Typist (JAT): Rs. 19,900 – 63,200 (Level 02 of 7th CPC)
• Stenographer: Rs. 25,500 – 81,100 (Level 04 of 7th CPC)

Selection Process Indira Gandhi National Open University :

• Computer Based Test
• Interview
