• Navik (General Duty) (260 Posts): This role involves operational duties onboard ICG ships and shore establishments. It demands a strong work ethic, physical fitness, and teamwork skills.
• Yantrik (Mechanical) (33 Posts): Yantriks (Mechanics) are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment on ICG vessels. A technical background and an aptitude for mechanics are crucial.
• Yantrik (Electrical) (18 Posts): Yantriks (Electricians) handle the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems onboard ICG ships. A sound understanding of electrical principles is essential.
• Yantrik (Electronics) (09 Posts): Yantriks (Electronics) manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment on ICG vessels. A strong foundation in electronics is required.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age: Candidates must be between 18 and 22 years old (born between 01 March 2003 and 28 February 2007). Age relaxation is available for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per government guidelines.
• Educational Qualification (as of July 3rd, 2024):
  • Navik (General Duty): Class 12th passed with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board (COBSE).
  • Yantrik:
    • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of 2 or 3 years duration approved by AICTE.
    • OR Class 10th and 12th passed with a Diploma in the aforementioned engineering fields of 3 or 4 years duration approved by AICTE.
  • List of Equivalent Diplomas: The notification provides a detailed list of equivalent diploma disciplines in Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering (refer to official notification for details).

Selection Process:

The ICG employs a multi-stage selection process:
