Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Laboratory Manager, Tier II, Grade C for microscopy equivalent to Senior Project Associate (DST):

1. Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; And 4 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Desirable Experience: In-depth knowledge of advanced light microscopy techniques. Experience in independently handling microscopes for biological samples including cells (Fluorescence, Confocal, etc) and proven team management capabilities.

2. Technical-Lab Associate (Tier I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST):

2. Essential Qualification & Experience: BSc/3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
3. Desirable Experience: Knowledge in advanced microscopy techniques. Experience in handling microscopes for biological samples including cells (Fluorescence, Confocal, etc).

3. Technical-Lab Associate (Tier-I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST):

3. Essential Qualification & Experience: BSc/3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
4. Desirable Experience: 2-year experience in handling LC-MS/MS.

4. Veterinary Scientist (Tier II, Grade B) equivalent to Project Scientist – I (DST):

4. Essential Qualification & Experience: M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pathology from a VCI-recognized college.
5. Desirable Experience: 2 years of experience in Veterinary pathology and histopathology, well versed in postmortem examination of animals, gross pathology, tissue and organ sampling, tissue processing, sectioning/staining, review, and reporting of slides. Experience in postmortem and pathology of laboratory animals, Immunohistochemistry, etc.

5. Laboratory Supervisor (Tier I, Grade A) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST):

5. Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. And 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
6. Desirable Experience: Excellent Lab/Administrative skills to provide supervisory assistance to the PI. Excellent knowledge of working and operations in a Biosafety Lab. A recommendation letter highlighting the leadership skills of working in a BSL-3 Facility or at least a BSL-2 level facility is highly desirable.

6. Technical Officer (Tier II, Grade C) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST):

6. Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. And 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services And Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
7. Desirable Experience: Excellent Lab skills to provide official and technical support to the PI in setting up the BSL-3 Lab, streamlining its operations. Excellent technical knowledge in Biosafety procedures. A recommendation letter highlighting the technical assistance provided elsewhere would be desirable.

7. Technical Supervisor (Tier I, Grade A) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST):

7. Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. And 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
8. Desirable Experience: Excellent Biosafety Laboratory operations experience of at least a year is desirable. Supervised the technical trouble-shooting of day-to-day operations of a BSL3 or at least a BSL-2 facility for at least a year. Good operational knowledge in a Biosafety Lab.

8. Technical Assistant (Tier I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST):

8. Essential Qualification & Experience: BSc/3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
9. Desirable Experience: Provided technical assistance to the PI in day-to-day operations in a BSL3/BSL-2 facility for at least a year.

9. Senior Research Fellow:

9. Essential Qualification & Experience: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following & should have 2 years of research experience. A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE. B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
10. Desirable Experience: Experience in tissue culture, long noncoding RNA, western blotting, molecular cloning, protein purification.

10. Junior Research Fellow:

10. Essential Qualification & Experience: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE. B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
11. Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular cloning and protein purification. Candidate should be familiar with basics of R and Python.

11. Project Assistant:

11. Essential Qualification & Experience: B.Sc. / 3 years diploma in Engineering and Technology.
12. Desirable Experience: Minimum 6 months of research experience.

12. Project Associate – I:

12. Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
13. Desirable Experience: At least 2 years’ experience with confocal or super resolution microscopy, image analysis, cell culture, and gene editing.

1. Laboratory Manager, Tier II, Grade C for microscopy equivalent to Senior Project Associate (DST): Not more than 40 years
2. Technical-Lab Associate (Tier I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST): Not more than 50 years
3. Technical-Lab Associate (Tier-I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST): Not more than 50 years
4. Veterinary Scientist (Tier II, Grade B) equivalent to Project Scientist – I (DST): Not more than 35 years
5. Laboratory Supervisor (Tier I, Grade A) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST): Not more than 35 years
6. Technical Officer (Tier II, Grade C) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST): Not more than 35 years
7. Technical Supervisor (Tier I, Grade A) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST): Not more than 35 years
8. Technical Assistant (Tier I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST): Not more than 50 years
9. Senior Research Fellow: Not more than 32 years

1. Laboratory Manager, Tier II, Grade C for microscopy equivalent to Senior Project Associate (DST): Rs. 42000/- + HRA
2. Technical-Lab Associate (Tier I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST): Rs. 20000/- + HRA
3. Technical-Lab Associate (Tier-I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST): Rs. 20000/- + HRA
4. Veterinary Scientist (Tier II, Grade B) equivalent to Project Scientist – I (DST): Rs. 56000/- + HRA
5. Laboratory Supervisor (Tier I, Grade A) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST): Rs. 28000/- + HRA
6. Technical Officer (Tier II, Grade C) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST): Rs. 35000/- + HRA
7. Technical Supervisor (Tier I, Grade A) equivalent to Project Associate II (DST): Rs. 28000/- + HRA
8. Technical Assistant (Tier I, Grade B) equivalent to Technical Assistant (DST): Rs. 20000/- + HRA
9. Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 35000 /- + HRA
10. Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 31000/- + HRA
11. Project Assistant: Rs. 20000/- + HRA
12. Project Associate – I: (i) Rs. 31000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) Rs. 25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

NCCS Pune may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Walk-In Interviews

How to apply:

Interested and eligible candidates possessing the aforementioned Essential Qualification only may appear for Walk-in-Interview in the Institute with all Original and self-attested copies of all certificates/testimonials and valid identity proof (Voter ID card/ PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Aadhar Card) and one passport size photograph. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the Interview without the Original Certificates.
