Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Essential Qualification:

• A full-time Graduate Engineering Degree in any of the following disciplines with 65% marks from a recognized University/Institute:
  • Electrical
  • Electrical (Power)
  • Electrical & Electronics
  • Power Engineering (Electrical)
  • Power Systems Engineering
  • Civil
  • Mechanical
• Additionally, a full-time Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety or an equivalent discipline with 65% marks from Labour Institutes (Central Labour Institute or Regional Labour Institute), a recognized University, Board, or Council for Technical Education is required.
• Alternatively, a full-time Graduate Engineering Degree in Industrial Safety or an equivalent discipline with 65% marks from a recognized university/institute is also acceptable.

Essential Experience:

• A post-qualification executive experience of a minimum of one year in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 40000-140000 (revised) or an equivalent level.
• For experience in the government sector: At least Gr-B Gazetted.
• For experience in the private sector: Candidates should have been receiving a minimum monthly emolument of Rs. 69,000.

Profile Required:

• Candidates should possess experience in implementing safety measures at work sites.
• Preferred experience includes erection, operation, and maintenance of 132Kv and above transmission systems.
• Candidates should demonstrate a creative attitude, cost and quality consciousness, and leadership capabilities.
• Experience in a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) or listed company, particularly in the power sector, will be preferred.

Age Limit: (As on 17.07.2024)

• Maximum age for Engineer (Safety) is 30 years.

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

• SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
• OBC Candidates: 3 years
• PwBD (Gen/EWS) Candidates: 10 years
• PwBD (SC/ST) Candidates: 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen/Victims of riots Candidates: As per Government of India directives

Salary Details:

• Engineer (Safety) position is classified under E2 IDA pay scale: Rs. 50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000.
