Eligibility Criteria for Junior Engineer Positions

Educational Qualification

1. Junior Engineer (Civil)

• Educational Qualifications (as of 01.12.2024):
  • A minimum of three years’ Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute, University, or Board with at least 65% marks (for ST/SC/PwBD candidates, the minimum is 55%),
  • Or a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University with at least 55% marks (for ST/SC/PwBD candidates, the minimum is 45%).
• Experience (as of 01.12.2024):
  • Diploma holders must have at least 2 years of experience in the execution and supervision of civil construction and/or maintenance of office buildings, commercial buildings, and residential complexes. A working knowledge of computers, basic understanding of RCC design, and familiarity with preparing civil works tenders is required.
  • Degree holders need at least 1 year of relevant experience in the same areas or must have completed a 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

2. Junior Engineer (Electrical)

• Educational Qualifications (as of 01.12.2024):
  • A minimum of three years’ Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized Institute, University, or Board with at least 65% marks (for ST/SC/PwBD candidates, the minimum is 55%),
  • Or a Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized University with at least 55% marks (for ST/SC/PwBD candidates, the minimum is 45%).
• Experience (as of 01.12.2024):
  • Diploma holders must have at least 2 years of experience in the execution and supervision of electrical installations in commercial and large buildings. This includes work with CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, central air conditioning plants, lifts, UPSs, DG sets, and HT/LT substations.
  • Degree holders need at least 1 year of relevant experience or must have completed a 1-year graduate apprenticeship program in a PSU.

Age Limit (as of 01.12.2024)

• Junior Engineer (Civil): 20 to 30 years
• Junior Engineer (Electrical): 20 to 30 years

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit

• SC/ST Applicants: 5 years
• OBC Applicants: 3 years
• PwBD (General/EWS) Applicants: 10 years
• PwBD (SC/ST) Applicants: 15 years
• PwBD (OBC) Applicants: 13 years
• Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Government Policy
