Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

1. Assistant Legal Advisor:

1. Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a Recognised University with four years of legal work experience in Government, Statutory Bodies, or Public Sector Undertakings. OR Master’s degree or PhD or M.Phil in Law with two years of experience in Government or Statutory Bodies or Public Sector Undertakings.
2. Desirable: Experience in legal work related to Pollution Control or Environment Protection.

2. Legal Assistant:

2. Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a Recognised University with four years of legal work experience in Government, Statutory Bodies, or Public Sector Undertakings. OR Master’s Degree or PhD or M.Phil in Law from a recognized university.
3. Desirable: Experience in legal work related to Pollution Control or Environment Protection.

3. Accountant:

3. Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from a Recognised University.
4. Desirable: CA or ICWA recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Age Limit: (As of 12.01.2024)

1. Assistant Legal Advisor: 35 years
2. Legal Assistant: 32 years
3. Accountant: 30 years

3. Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and as per Government of India rules for Ex-Servicemen. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per Government rules. Refer to CAQM’s official Notification 2024 for more details.

Salary Details:

1. Assistant Legal Advisor: Pay Matrix Level-10; Rs.56100-177500/-
2. Legal Assistant: Pay Matrix Level-7; Rs.44900 – 142400/-
3. Accountant: Pay Matrix Level-5; Rs.29200-92300/-

Selection Process:

The selection process may include:

1. Screening Test / Skill Test
2. Interview

Application Fee:

• Assistant Legal Advisor: Rs.500/-
• Legal Assistant: Rs.400/-
• Accountant: Rs.300/- Mode of Fee Payment: Payment via Demand Draft in favor of “Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM)” payable at New Delhi, to be submitted along with the application form.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should submit their applications in the prescribed format, attaching a passport size photograph and self-attested copies of certificates. Address the application to the Under Secretary (Admin), Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas, 17th Floor, Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan, (STC Building), Tolstoy Marg, New Delhi 110001. The envelope should be superscribed with “Application for the post of [Name of the post]”.
