Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Senior Project Associate –

1. Essential Qualification & Experience:

1. Ph.D. in Chemistry or
2. M.Sc. in Chemistry/B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with 4 years of experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services.

1. Desirable: Experience in electrochemistry, electrodeposition, electrowinning, operation of furnaces, reactors extractive metallurgy, or similar research areas.

2. Senior Project Associate –

2. Essential Qualification & Experience:

2. Ph.D. in Chemistry/Chemical/Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or
3. M.E/M.Tech in Chemical/Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with 2 years of experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services or
4. B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 4 years of experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services.

2. Desirable: Experience in Lithium and Magnesium Extraction and alloy making.

3. Junior Research Fellow (P) –

3. Essential Qualification & Experience: M.Sc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/Materials Science/Chemistry/B.E/B.Tech in Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences/Chemical Engineering/Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering with CSIR – UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.

4. Project Associate – I –

4. Essential Qualification & Experience: M.Sc in Chemistry
5. Desirable: Experience in electrochemistry, electrodeposition, electrowinning, operation of furnaces, reactors extractive metallurgy, or similar research areas.

5. Project Associate – I –

5. Essential Qualification & Experience: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering.
6. Desirable:

5. One to Two years hands-on work experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning.
6. Hands-on experience coding in Python and Jupyter Notebook.

6. Project Associate – I –

6. Essential Qualification & Experience: M.Sc in Chemistry

Age Limit: (As on 08.01.2024)

1. Senior Project Associate – 40 Years
2. Senior Project Associate – 40 Years
3. Junior Research Fellow (P) – 35 Years
4. Project Associate – I – 35 Years
5. Project Associate – I – 35 Years
6. Project Associate – I – 35 Years

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the CSIR-CECRI official Notification 2024 for more details.

Salary Details:

1. Senior Project Associate – Rs. 42,000/-pm plus HRA
2. Senior Project Associate – Rs. 42,000/-pm plus HRA
3. Junior Research Fellow (P) – Rs. 37,000/-pm + HRA
4. Project Associate – I – Rs. 31,000/-pm + HRA for Scholars selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Rs.25,000/-pm + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
5. Project Associate – I – Rs. 31,000/-pm + HRA for Scholars selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Rs.25,000/-pm + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
6. Project Associate – I – Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA

Selection Process:

CSIR-CECRI may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Walk-in-interview

How to apply:

Interested and eligible candidates possessing the aforementioned Essential Qualification only may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the Institute with all Original and self-attested copies of all certificates/testimonials and a valid identity proof (Voter ID card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Aadhar Card) and one passport size photograph. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the Interview without the Original Certificates.

Important Dates:

• Venue: CSIR – CECRI, KARAIKUDI
• Walk-in Date: 08th January 2024 (Monday) {Reporting Time: 09:00 A.M}. No Candidate will be allowed to enter into the Venue after 09:30 a.m.
