Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) –

• Essential Qualification:

• MFSc degree in Aquaculture/Fish Biology/Fish Physiology & Biochemistry/Fish Biotechnology/Microbiology and other relevant disciplines for the project
• MSc in Zoology/Life Sciences/Environmental Sciences/Marine Biology/Aquatic Biology and other relevant disciplines for the project

• The candidates should fulfill any one of the following: a. Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (NET) including lectureship (Assistant professorship) / GATE. b. Candidates admitted to MFSc/MSc/MTech through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as ICAR, DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc., and completed post-graduation.
• Desirable: Research/work experience in fish hatchery/aquatic animal maintenance & handling/Field data collection
• The post will be downgraded to Project Associate I for those not having the qualifications mentioned in a.) OR b.) with the salary as per DST norms

2. Field Worker –

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences and other relevant disciplines for the project. Should be able to assist in fish maintenance & handling and laboratory analysis.

Age Limit: (As on 03.01.2024)

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Below 35 years for Men and 40 years for women

2. Field Worker – 21 to 45 years with relaxation as per rules

Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the CIBA Chennai official Notification 2024 for more details.

Emoluments:

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Rs. 37,000 + 27% HRA pm

2. Field Worker – Rs. 18,000 + 27% HRA pm

Selection Process:

CIBA Chennai may follow the subsequent process to select candidates:

1. Short Listing
2. Interview

Communication regarding the interview will be sent to the short-listed candidates via email. Candidates are required to attend the personal/online interview conducted by CIBA, Chennai.
