2. SRF (Food and Nutrition)

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

1. Jr. Medical Officer:

• Essential: MBBS/AYUSH/BDS Degree from a recognized university, registration in the respective medical/AYUSH/dental council, and willingness to work in the field. Ability to understand the local language.
  • Desirable: Masters in Public Health OR a minimum of one year of experience in field or community studies.

• SRF (Food and Nutrition):

• Essential: Master’s (M.Sc./MPH) in Food & Nutrition, Home Science, and willingness to work in the field. Ability to understand the local language.
  • Desirable: One year of experience in conducting field or community studies (24-hour dietary recall data collection).

• SRF (Anthropology/Sociology/Social work):

• Essential: Post Graduation (M.Sc./M.A./MSW) in Anthropology/Sociology/Social Science/Social Work from a recognized university and willingness to work in the field. Ability to understand the local language.
  • Desirable: One year of experience in conducting anthropometry, mobile tablet-based data collection in field or community studies.

• Sr. Technical Assistant:

• Essential: Graduate in Anthropology/Social Science/Sociology/Science (Biochemistry/Microbiology)/Social Work from a recognized university with a minimum of two years’ experience or Post Graduate degree in the specified subjects. Willingness to work in the field.
  • Desirable: Experience in drawing blood samples and processing blood samples in field studies.

• Project Assistant (Phlebotomist):

• Essential: Graduate in MLT from a recognized university OR DMLT with one year of relevant experience (blood sample collection) OR B.Sc (Nursing) OR Two years nursing with one year of relevant experience (blood sample collection). Willingness to work in the field and ability to understand the local language.

• Field Worker:

• Essential: 12th pass in Science subject and willingness to work in the field. Ability to understand the local language.
  • Desirable: Minimum one year of experience in data collection from field or community.

Age Limit:

1. Jr. Medical Officer – Not exceeding 30 years
2. SRF (Food and Nutrition) – Not exceeding 35 years
3. SRF (Anthropology/Sociology/Social work) – Not exceeding 35 years
4. Sr. Technical Assistant – Not exceeding 30 years
5. Project Assistant (Phlebotomist) – Not exceeding 30 years
6. Field Worker – Not exceeding 30 years

Candidates may receive relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government Rules. Refer to the official ICMR – NIN Notification 2023 for more details.

Salary Details:

1. Jr. Medical Officer – Rs. 60,000+ 15,000(FDA)
2. SRF (Food and Nutrition) – Rs. 44,450+ 12,000(FDA)
3. SRF (Anthropology/Sociology/Social work) – Rs. 44,450+ 12,000(FDA)
4. Sr. Technical Assistant – Rs. 32,000+ 12,000(FDA)
5. Project Assistant (Phlebotomist) – Rs. 31,000+ 12,000(FDA)
6. Field Worker – Rs. 18,000+ 10,000(FDA)

Selection Process: ICMR – NIN may follow a walk-in-interview process to select candidates.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates with the essential qualifications should appear for the Walk-in-Interview at the Institute. Bring all original and self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials, a valid identity proof, and one passport-size photograph. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the interview without the original certificates.
