Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO) is offering an exciting opportunity for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices in various disciplines. The distribution of posts is as follows:

1. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering
3. Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
4. Computer Engineering/ Information Technology
5. Civil Engineering
6. Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• Full-time Diploma in Engineering or technology awarded by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline.
• Full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology awarded by a University in the relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Govt or Central Govt as equivalent to the above.

Age Limit: Candidates’ age limit will be in accordance with the Apprenticeship Rules.

Stipend: Technician (Diploma) Apprentices will receive a stipend of Rs. 8000/-.

Selection Process: The selection process involves:

1. Merit List
2. Certificate Verification

How to Apply:

For Candidates already enrolled in the National Web Portal & having login details:

• Log in to the portal
• Click on the Establishment Request Menu
• Find Establishment and upload Resume
• Choose “TANGEDCO” from the list and apply

For Students not enrolled in the Official National Web Portal:

• Visit
• Register as a Student and complete the application form
• Upon registration, a unique Enrolment Number (ATN) will be generated
• Log in, search for “TANGEDCO,” and apply against advertised vacancies

Important Dates:

• Online Application starting date: 07.02.2024
• Last date for enrolling in NATS portal to apply to “TANGEDCO”: 20.02.2024
• Declaration of Shortlisted list: 26.02.2024
• Certificate verification for shortlisted candidates: 05.03.2024 to 08.03.2024

Note: It is mandatory to provide the percentage of marks in the Engineering Graduate/Diploma Engineering/Non-Engineering Graduate Examination. Failure to do so will result in the non-consideration of candidature.
