ICMR-NIV is inviting applications for the following positions:
1. Technical Assistant [Group-B Technical (Non-Ministerial)] – 49 Posts
- TA (LS) (32 Posts): 1st class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Virology and Immunology/Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Biophysics/Genetics from a recognized University.
- TA (BI) (03 Posts): 1st class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics or Life Sciences with Bioinformatics as one of the subjects, or 1st class Engg./Technology degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics.

2. Technician – 1 [Group-C Technical (Non-Ministerial)] – 31 Posts
- TECH (MLT) (21 Posts): 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a government-recognized institution.
- TECH (EL) (04 Posts): 12th or Intermediate pass in Science subject with 55% marks and at least one year Diploma in Electrical Engg.

Age Limit: (As on 10.12.2023)
- Technical Assistant [Group-B Technical (Non-Ministerial)] – Not exceeding 30 years.
- Technician – 1 [Group-C Technical (Non-Ministerial)] – Not exceeding 28 years.
Note: Age relaxation for specified categories as per government rules.
Salary Details:
- Technical Assistant [Group-B Technical (Non-Ministerial)] – Rs. 35400-112400 (7th CPC Pay Matrix).
- Technician – 1 [Group-C Technical (Non-Ministerial)] – Rs. 19900-63200 (7th CPC Pay Matrix).
Selection Process:
- Online Computer Based Test.
- Document verification.
Application Fee:
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women: Exempted from payment of fees.
- For all others: Rs. 300/- plus transaction charges.
ICMR employees are not exempted from the fee payment.
