at Divisions/Units in the jurisdiction of East Central Railway against 1832 slots.

ECR is on the lookout for candidates to fill various positions across its divisions. Here’s a breakdown of the vacancies by division:

1. Danapur Division
2. Dhanbad Division
3. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division
4. Sonpur Division
5. Samastipur Division
6. Plant Depot/Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya
7. Carriage Repair Workshop/Harnaut
8. Mechanical Workshop/Samastipur
9. Total:Various

Applicants are required to select only one Division/Unit. Details of Divisions/Units and the number of slots (trade-wise) are provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Additionally, they must possess an ITI in the relevant trade.

Age Limit:

• Candidates should be between 15 and 24 years old as of 01.01.2023.
• Age relaxation is applicable for specific categories: i) 5 years for SC/ST communities ii) 3 years for OBC communities iii) 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with Benchmark Disabilities(PwBD) iv) Ex-servicemen have a relaxation based on total Military service plus 3 years, subject to completing at least six months of regular attested service.

Stipend:

Selected candidates will receive a stipend during the apprenticeship at rates specified by the Railway Board, subject to changes as per rules.

Selection Process:

ECR will follow this selection process:

1. Merit List
2. Certificate Verification

Application Fee:

• SC/ST/PwBD/Women Candidates: Nil
• All Other Candidates: Rs.100/- Note: The application fee must be paid online.

Candidates meeting the criteria should apply online through the ECR website’s careers webpage, specifically in the current openings section, i.e., from 10.11.2023 to 09.12.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
